Anyway it is a 5-6 km of trek with 3 to 4 water passage that you can easily pass with rope and pull they have created. It is safe as long as you have good shoes for rain and not too heavy rainfall. It is a beauty in monsoon. So a must visit for trek and waterfall lovers. Overall a good single day trip from Pune. There is a place to use the washroom and change clothes after completing your trek for mere 10rs per person and heading back via your car or bike. 30rs for car parking and 200 per person for entry as per Sept 2023. I hope this helps

A beginner level trekking, which is about 12KMs (to and fro) from "Patnus Car Parking". Trek Details: First 4 kms is smooth, normal elevation, last 1-2 km is highly elevated about 75-80° in some places. Water bottle is available in the first 4 km stretch. Trek Time: We took about 4 hrs to visit the waterfall, while the return took around 1.5 hours. View: Great view, it feels relaxing to take a dip after the exhausting trek!

Waterfall is magnificent and trek route is scenic. BUT, it's a 7 hrs trek. Terrain is uneven, slippery. Last 45mins to 1 hr, it's uphill steep climb. It tires you out so much that you don't find it worth. I won't recommend attempting this trek for people who are not very fit, who are 45+, kids, people having heart or blood pressure conditions. As it's very remote, a mishap can ensure your death. A twisted, fractured leg or head injury due to slippery conditions are very much possible. If at all you plan to visit then ensure you wear light trek shoes, you pack very very light. Most of the time you don't have network. Carry cash. I was charged 200 per person entry fee, 100 for car parking and 20 per person while entering Village. Locals are very helpful.

The attached video covers major scenes through this trek. I visited during October and it was a mesmerizing experience. Do not hesitate to pay the little entry charge they ask and in return you are provided with multiple volunteers on the trek path who help guiding the way and also act as security guards. These guards are available starting around 6am and return to the base by 5pm. The trek time is about 2 hours (nonstop trek). If you go during day time (not early morning hours) you will find multiple shops offering water and snacks.

It's a good track, lot of stamina is required. Special precaution is start track before 11:00Am to reach back before dark. Once it's dark, it would be very difficult and 2.5 to 3 times more time required to complete journey and become risky specially in rainy days. Villagers are charging some fees per person on the name of protection and support, you can not avoid the same in case you wants to enjoy this natural place. Overall good place to visit .

Devkund is a very famous trek + waterfall outing. I visited here after living more than 7 years in Pune and I did have that thought in the back of my mind that how much better it would have back in those days if it is this beautiful now in 2023.
